Spiral wrapped rods

HI I am new to the forum and new to rod building. I have just order my rod making equipment and waiting to get started. I plan on doing so repair work on some of my old rods first but I am interested in doing some spiral wrapped bass rods but I have not found any info on the orientation of the guides.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Vince

I don't know if Tom has any left, but the best, most comprehensive treatment of spiral rods, and of the different methods of doing them, that I've ever seen, is in the Rodmaker "Guides" special edition. If you're looking to dive into the deep end of the pool, and you have $30 to spend, it will vault you from Spiral 101 all the way to Dr. Spiral, Ph.D.
