I would appreciate a recommendation for an EVA split grip set that fits the American Tackle Size 16 reel seat.

I have looked all the grips on the sponsors websites, and can't find one that fits into the reel seat. There are a lot of really nice grips for casting reel seats, but not many for spinning reel seats.

Most of the straight grips are about 1.00 inches or larger, and the Aero is .98. I tried cutting off the tenon of one, and sanding it down, but that did not work,out so well. I did not like how the sanded part looked compared to the factory finish.

IWhat is everyone using?

Bert, I know you said EVA, but check out Mike Pederson's carbon fiber grips...it's Riley Rods under the sponsors column. All of his spinning grips are tailored to the Aero seat.

Bert here are a few grip assemblies that I stock. Please call or email for more info. Foregrips can be omitted if you want to go with the no foregrip look. The photo on the bottom has a small 3/4'' foregrip.

Also a kdps hood fits just right i usually cut the tube of the kdps in half and fit an sk2 eva hood makes for a very nice grip
