Mudhole Carbon Grips - Help

I just received my order for Mudhole's carbon fiber grips, including the butt grips, and did not realize that the butt grips were not capped - i.e. they are exposed to the blank on the bottom. Any advice on a means to fill in the end, in a manner that looks good? Trying to come up with some creative solutions.
Thanks Re: Mudhole Carbon Grips - Help

So obvious I didn't think of it. Will give it a whirl to find the right size. Was also thinking about cutting a piece of a foam block as filler. Re: Mudhole Carbon Grips - Help

You can also go to an auto parts store and get interior plastic plugs Get the size of the ID of the blank end a little glue and push it in Bill - willierods.com Re: Mudhole Carbon Grips - Help

David,
if its the same carbon tubes i got then the outside diameter is almost that of a wine cork/stopper. Little effeort to turn/sand stoppers down and use as arbor/s but leave about a 1/2 inch sticking out as an endcap about an inch inside. Regular walking stick end caps fit perfectly too. Turned piece of cedar is light and looks good. Re: Mudhole Carbon Grips - Help

I use butt plug caps from Lowes located where all the screws etc are at. I haven't used the mudhole grips, but I assume these will work. Look for the drawer with automotive parts at Lowes. Re: Mudhole Carbon Grips - Help

if you want a larger selection than Lows try a auto parts store they carry a bunch of that stuff , it is used in the car;s to day to hold the plastic parts in place you might have to build up the center part of the blank or cut the plub down to fit { as you need ] a drunnel tool wil help a lot in making it fit William Sidney AK Re: Mudhole Carbon Grips - Help
