RodMaker Reception

Quite a night. Beautiful new facility, I think most were happy if not impressed. I certainly was. Best reception we've ever had, in my opinion. We sure gave away a ton of stuff. About 500 showed up for the reception so I'll guess at 3500 for the event tomorrow. We'll see.

I'll try to get a movie up late tomorrow, along with some footage of the exhibition hall. The Expo has always been outstanding but this raises the bar by leaps and bounds. The new venue seems to be a hit.

The reception area was the size of a football field! lol. I had a good time, saw a lot new new faces, and a lot of old friends. Looking forward to the show today, the new showplace and hotel is really nice, as long as you can figure out where you're going, lol.

This was my first ICRBE and I have to say it exceeded all my expectations. Got to meet all the vendors and talk with them face to face, met a lot of the people that post here all the time, attended numerous seminars and learned a lot. Thanks to Tom for putting this all together as well as the magazine and forum. I've only been doing this for a couple of years but it makes me want to quit the day job and build rods full time. However, I haven't mentioned that to my wife just yet. All in all it was worth the trip from Texas for me.
