Hi,
I have a slow 7'6" 5wt fiberglass blank which I've accidently mishandled and now is about 3.75" short from the tip. Besides the (may) need to overline it, is there any problems if the two sections are not of the same length? Re: Unequal fly rod sections length

the action will change , but it is in the eyes of the fisherman not the fish , the fish don't care Re: Unequal fly rod sections length

Tried taping the guides today and lawn cast it. Feels like a 6wt. Also cut the same length from the butt. I feel the flex better after shortening and also think my roll cast is better. It is now a 6'10" 6wt fly rod. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
