For you guys that live in the area.
Can you suggest some local eateries in the area. I'm looking for fried catfish and I would assume just about any place would be good for BBQ. Thanks, Larry Re: Local eats for Winston-Salem?

Tom suggested Mr. Barbecue in an earlier post on the same subject. I can confirm that it's a good choice as I've eaten there...and I'd go back. Re: Local eats for Winston-Salem?

There are lots of good eats and many new ones in the downtown area. The downtown area has really grown with places to go in the past few years King's crab shack is new and havent tried it. I know Jimmy's seafood out by the mall has good fried seafood. Finnagan's Wake has some good food and i hear the fish and chips are pretty good but havent tried it. I personally think that Twin City Diner has the best wings in town and is just outside downtown. I think Pat Green is playing at ziggy's sat feb 23. Re: Local eats for Winston-Salem?

Perfect! Just what I was looking.
After a long day at the Expo....I like to eat some fine southern food. ...for me at least...not sure what the 'Way Better-Half' will be doing... But as in HighPoint she will find things to do...spending $$$ is a given. Thanks All. Larry Re: Local eats for Winston-Salem?

As a matter of fact the only pre-demise sound barbecue makes in the great state of North Carolina is "OINK". ;-) Re: Local eats for Winston-Salem?
