The bolognese rods are made special for fishing with float in river. The long bolognese rods you can't keep easy with one hand so you must put the butt of the rod in you belly and fish so. You can see how to fish with bolognese rod in this link : [www.youtube.com] Re: BOLOGNESE FISHING BLANKS

It never ceases to amaze me the way people fish all over the world. These guys are bank fishing with 10+ foot rods. Not sure of the type of fish they are catching, but it looks like some sort of carp to me. If I was fishing a stream bank for a fish tthis size I think I would choose a much shorter rod. The bait looks like a "cheese bait" that is as big as a softball. I guess a lot of it is eroded away in the current of the stream. Very big for the size of the fish's mouth. The best part is that they are catching fish and that's what we all like to do. Good video. Steve Hartzell Lake Conroe - Willis, Texas Re: BOLOGNESE FISHING BLANKS

They are using maggots dude. I would try a fly rod with a roll cast; but the kid in is coming out...

I know this type of rods are for float fishing from the bank, but here in Texas,i am fishing from the bank on salt or fresh water with bolgnese rod with jigs and i can tell i was catching a lot of nice fish(white bass, flathead catfish, buffalo carp, speckled trout ,flounder, red fish, black drum, Spanish mackerel).
The fish don't care for what type of fishing was built the rod and if you know to fish you catch fish......I am catching fish from the bank on fly using spinning rod and reel without fly line. Jean Re: BOLOGNESE FISHING BLANKS
