Guides for flippin stick

I am planning on making a pike rod using a MHX FS906 blank. I would like suggestion on guides for this rod. My plan is to use Fuji alconite BLNAG guides. I have been hearing about using micro and fly guides which is something I have never used. Would they work on a rod like this? It is a 7'6" heavy rod. Any suggestion for guides for this rod? This rod will be used for casting only.

Micro guides will work fine. I would suggest Fuji "K" series or Kigan "Z" series. Both are solid values.

BKWAG10 (double foot stripper), BKWAG5.5, followed by 5, 4.5 or 4 BKTAG runners.

Exactly what Jim said if it's more of a moderate flipping stick i might use 2 or 3 BKWAG's just because i'm paranoid.

what wrong with a #6 DF followed by your micros? That is the line up for most of mine.

Hey guys. I just recieved the 4.5 BKTAG guides for this rod as recommended. This is definetly much smaller than I have used before. The blank looks like a bigger diameter than the guides. I just want to verify hat I will still get good casting distance with these guides. Thanks
