Looking to build a spinning rod to toss small crankbaits like shad rap #5's and Flicker Shads. Not sure what blank would be better suited for this. Has anyone used either of those blanks for this application and how did it work out? Re: MHX CB841 vs CB843

For a size 5 Shad Rap, I preger the CB841-Blend MHX. Those lures have a tendecy to flutter thru the air when you cast them. I like the CB841, being that it flexes a bit further down in the blank and that provides you with more flex in the tip of the blank to be able and drive the lure when cast. I have built both of these blanks for this and by far the 841 is my preference for baits that are 1/8 oz or less. Seems to cast farther and perform better than the 843. I do however prefer the 843 on a bait casting build for the 1/8 and heavier baits. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
