Anybody know what type of guides these are? The top 3 rows have never been used, but the bottom row has seen some action.

My guess would be that they are very old Mildrum guides. Mildrum used that type of framework on many of their guides. Just a guess. Re: Antique/Vintage Guide ID

The tip offs to me are: The framework on the guides, the bracing on that top roller guide, and the angle of the framework of the next two guides that have a signature backward tipping of the top of the roller frame. That seems to be a singular Mildrum design. I have a number of Mildrum guides and they all have a somewhat similar appearance. Hope this helps. Re: Antique/Vintage Guide ID

There was an oriental knock-off that looks a lot like those you show in the photo. Magnu-Flex imported them by the gross.

I HAVE SOME OF THOSE THEY COULD VERY WELL BE MILLDRUM I PUT SOME ON AN OLD BEATER BLANK PAINTED 1 / 2 RED 1 / 2 BLUE (KRYLON METALIC) ON THE BLACK BLANK & ON 1 /2 OF EACH SIDE OF THE GUIDES IT LOOKS REAL COOL THE ROD SHAFT IS LETTERED WITH SILVER LETTERS TO SAY "DAN'S TACKLE SHOP" HE HANGS IT AS ADVERTISING WHEN HE "FLEA MKTS" EITHER WAY THEY MAKE SOME NICE ACCOMPANYMENT TO AN OLDER BLANK OR RESTORATION LARRY Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
