i don't know how many rods you plan to build, but consider [www.lrtgroup.com], one of the sponsors on this site.

What’s everyone using for transfer tape? Sometimes the scotch tape I use wants to pull the decal up or damage the ink.

All the labels I have used so far, among many brands, have had a film above the actual label. So, attaching scotch tape to the label isn't actually attaching it to the finished label, the part that has the ink that could be damaged, but it attaches to the disposable part of the label. Shouldn't cause any damage to the print.

I use the injet waterslide decals occasionally and have had decent results. I also use NEATO clear stick label sheets on my Injet. All of these need to be sprayed with KRYLON UV Clear.

Wanted to ask a question to those of you using water slides and seeing UV degradation.

Are you using any type of UV resistant top coat to seal the decal before cutting/applying it? Is the color shift and fading you see affected by that at all?
