Flocking

I've read some things here of flocking cork and EVA . So my question is can you flock the foam grips like the ones used for carbon fiber or are they to pores?
I all so would like to know if a clear coat on a painted rod is good enough or should it be coated with permagloss?

You can flock EVA just fine, although it is not the ideal core material for this type of thing.

Then it should be possible to use the foam cores ?

Urethane foam cores are rigid, hard. In fact, I developed them as flocking cores. It wasn't until later that Andy and I put them together with the carbon skins. But they're not at all the same thing as an EVA grip. I think when people hear the word "foam" they immediately think of something soft or cushiony.

I see what you mean. I didn't really think of them as soft, just as another alternative to the other options. I may try it just for kicks.
As to my other question about using permagloss over the clear coat on a painted blank. I understand that it will be more durable.
Never mind used the search and found what I was looking for, Thank for your input on the first ?
