Did either company make an adapter to use the 4oz spools. I have a Clemens and need some way to use the large spools. Any ideas??

Renzetti made one. I'm sure because I bought one a few years ago. Cannot say for sure if they still offer them. Have you checked their website?

The 4 oz spools are designed to feed from the top of the spool. Thread should not be pulled off the side of the spool.

When I need to use a larger spool, I use this adapter, which I made from a board, a piece of blank and a coat hanger.

Then, feed from the lower loop and feed it to the current tension device on your wrapper.

I did check the website and did a search on here. Roger, I was thinking of making my own to adapt to my Clemens.

Hi,

I have the 8 spool Clemens carriage. The 2 lower shafts I have adjusted on for 5 1/2 " spool and the other for 3 1/2" spools. It works, maybe not perfect but I use them all the time for black thread.

Both companies did at one point make a four ounce thread carriage. They were different designs by both manufacturers.

Thank you Barry, I just ordered one to give it a try. Always like to try something new or different. Getting those big spools off my thread carriage will make it much lighter to mopve.

Just load small spools with the thread and put it on the smaller thread carriage.

I have been and it is a hugh pia.. I'm way to busy to mess with it anymore! I want to just use the large spools since I only use three colors mostly and it's ramping to large production. I have a buddy who is a machinist and now I know what I'm looking for I'll have him make it to hold three spools off the Clemens base I already have.. looks simple!! Thanks guys

Roger, Photos. No problem. Now Bill that sounds intresting!! I have now found that the one Pro Wrap color I use doesn't come in the 4oz spool so... I might just need a two spool since the other colors are Guberod!!
