I would like to find a two or three piece S-glass blank 12 to 15 feet long with a moderate action suitable for casting bait + sinker weighing 4 - 8 ounces off the beach. The only thing I have seen that is remotely close is a factory-made 12' two-piece S-glass rod marketed by Eagle Claw as a moderate-action trolling rod. Would this rod suit my needs? I would rather make my own, but if blanks of this sort are not available to builders I would resort to a factory built rod that does. Any suggestions? Re: S-glass surf blank

Lamiglas used to make them and Mudhole is now starting to prototype a few S glass blanks maybe they have some in the near future. Re: S-glass surf blank

You might be able to get Seeker to do one built on their E-glass surf series. They might sub the E-glass for S-glass. They make many very long 1pc and 2pc surf rods. Re: S-glass surf blank

Lamiglas has E-Glass, not S-Glass.
Their graphite GSB 180 2MH is 15' and rated 3 to 8 ounces may work for you. Conoflex does have an S2 Glass blank. in 13', 14' and 15' models. It is rated at 5 ounces. I do not know the range. " Developments have included using ant new materials that come on to the market such as X-weave, Carbon Kevlar and more recently the availability of the S2 ballistic glass incorporating the nanotube resin systems " Chesil Beach Match [conoflex.co.uk] [conoflex.co.uk] Don Becker Re: S-glass surf blank

I believe the rod range that Conoflex are producing is the Chesil Beach Match rod Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
