Tru Oil removal from cork grip

Do you have any ideas for removing several coats of Tru Oil that were once applied to a cork grip by a less invasive manner? As always, thank you for your input. Re: Tru Oil removal from cork grip

Gentle sanding, I've done it a couple of times with no adverse effects. Put masking tape over the reel seat ends,butt cap and in front of the fore grip. Ray Zarychta Glastonbury, CT Re: Tru Oil removal from cork grip

It won't have penetrated very deep into the cork. Sanding would be the quickest and easiest method.
