Repair eva deformation

I recently clamped up a handle I was gluing up with a eva butt cap and the butt cap has a little deformed indentation in it. Is there a way to get this slight deformation out or do I have to cut it off and get a new one?

Thanks,
Jeff Leonard

Jeff...Boil water in the Kettle, pour Boiling water on a wash / terry cloth, hold the dry portion of the cloth and apply the wet Towel to the dent...it usually works the first time to pop the dent out...You may have to repeat it...but it works..trust me...i have have done it numerous times. i run into this at times the from the rollers on my Rodsmith wrapper, despite the very light tension from the rollers...Oh...works on Cork too...hope this helps..Cheers!!

Works great, got a dent out of a grip the other day like wayne said by pouring boiling water over the affected area.

Thanks Wayne I will keep that in mind, what I did was heat it slightly with a heat gun and kneaded it with my fingers. Dent is gone . Thanks. Keep me on your facebook.
