This is a short one piece butt grip that will need to be reamed to go over the end of my project to about .40 to .45. I was thinking of using a Dremel with a small sanding drum or other attachment but I am worried about keeping the hole centered. Any advice? Re: Reaming Fiji EVA Butt Grip for SK2 grip

A file such as a round bastard. Work your way around the ID bit by bit while keeping the hole centered and symmetrical. Or just use a reamer. Re: Reaming Fiji EVA Butt Grip for SK2 grip

Bill, roll the grip on a flat table as you ream it. Keep the reamer level. Re: Reaming Fiji EVA Butt Grip for SK2 grip

EVA is a bit more forgiving than cork. I'd drill it to 3/8 ID and ream from there. Less reaming (which is nice when working with EVA and you have about a 1/16th or so of an inch to recenter by reaming if necessary. Re: Reaming Fiji EVA Butt Grip for SK2 grip

Try instead of turning the reamer -- keep the reamer steady and turn the object to be reamed This tends to keep it centered Bill - willierods.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
