Hi Chris,
Maybe, spiral wraps are something different again. Might be an idea to get in touch with Anglers Resource and see what they have to say. An O'Quinn spiral is set up so that the line"doesn't" touch the first three guides. I doubt if there's any high speed photography that shows what is going on with them. KR concept just like New Guide Concept is only for spinning rods/ layouts. Spiral wrapped rods are casting or conventional layouts. so... NO!! Re: KR casting concept & spiral wraps?

I just watched the video on KR concept and they have a KR casting concept layout also. Just a thought , I too wonder if it will work for Spiral wrap, I only built 1 spiral wrap so far on micros, I think it might be ok its just that u would put it in a spiral wrap instead of on top for the running guides, just a thought, tight wraps all! John, KR casting concept has been developed for casting rods also, thing is the 180 guide would have to be placed after the 3rd guide from the butt guide upwards, so that you would eliminate line slapping on the blank. Now I don't know wether by transiting to 180 degrees after the 3rd guide , woud retain the benefits of the spiral wrap.
