I have the older Clemens rod lathe and want to know if there is a light made that will travel along its base, also a magnifier as well. I think the Renzetti/Clemens beds are interchangable????? If anyone has any sources please let me know.

They are and they aren't. A few years ago Andy invested in new dies for his bed extrusions. I seem to recall that these new ones are 2mm wider than the older ones.

It shouldn't be hard to obtain a rod support base and fabricate something that would hold one of the common fly tying/hobby type lights. Might take a little imagination on your part but I doubt it'd be very hard to do.

The Renzetti and Clemens bed sections share the same dimensions on top .. which is why all the attachments work on both.
Their bottom dimensions differ slightly which prevents them from fitting together seamlessly.

A very easy solution to the issue is to wear a lighted head band magnifier

I had each of those items which Clemens used to sell to fit their lathe bed. TEH magnifier was AWESOME, it was 6" and youcould focus on what you were working on from various distances. TEh headmagnifiers force oyu to stay exactly a certain distance from what you are working on or it's out of focus.
