reading your earlier post. I would recommend posting what type of rods you are looking to build and include lures, reels, length, style, etc. then you can get some input from builders that are familiar with what you are looking to build. you will get some good blank suggestions to help you narrow things down

I have built 4 rods on those blanks, I love my 6wt fly rod, haven't used my 4wt yet. I built two rods for a friend using two piece blanks, a 6 1/2' and a 7'. I found the spinning blanks quit a bit stiffer than what I was expecting, if you want the CC data I can supply.

What type of fishing do you do with that rod? It seems extra extra fast!

I built it for a friend for big walleye, as I have stated it was way stiffer than I antisipated. I was looking for something a little lighter than the Gloomis, should have measured before I built.

Where do you get HM X blanks?

Are these the Fenwick brand?

I'm guessing you mean High Modulus MHX (HM-MHX) from Mudhole?

I enjoyed my MHX four weight fly rod until I broke the tip section. Learned today I can't purchase a replacement tip section. For that reason I don't think I'll be building on MHX blanks - too much risk.
