Can anyone suggest an easy and reliable way to remove the paint from a blank (without damaging it)? Re: Removing paint from blank

The best way is to scrape it off with a razor blade held perpendicular to the blank. The best tool I have found is the cheap utility knives that have long straight blades where you can break off the last quarter inch or so to get a new tip. You can buy one of these and a pack of replacement blades for about a dollar each. Re: Removing paint from blank

I used citristrip and a plastic putty knife. I only used the utility blade for a few stubborn areas. I don't like sharp tools near blanks. Re: Removing paint from blank

Everything I've read has been to use the citristrip and a blade perpendicular to the blank. I've used the blade on the bottom of my Lami blank and it takes their cranberry paint off quite easy. Re: Removing paint from blank

Thanks for the advice - I'll give the citristrip a go.
