Gator Glass or MHX also makes a good blank. I Was Born Without Gills, Therefore I Fish! Love The Wife! Live Long! Fish Till You Die! Re: shark rod

What MHX blank would you recommend for shark fishing????
Are you doing lang based sharking or from a boat? For targetting big sharks from a boat, I would go with a Calstar 6455XXH or Seeker 6455XXH in E glass, Boomer Jr. From Calstar, Seeker TSF55XXH. Or a composite version of one of those blanks. Guides, you can use ringed guides (Turbo style or Fuji HB style) if you want, or roller guides. Aftco W/O or ALPS 50# are my go to guides. WT are sweet, but even their lower priced version is still a lot more than the other 2 guide sets. Re: shark rod

Casting, spinning, or fly rod blank? Jigging, casting, trolling, live bait, or streamers? Surf, bay, flats, or blue water? Spiny dogfish or tiger sharks? Some very knowledgeable people on this site would probably share their expertise, but they need some specific information. Re: shark rod

Also useful to know what length of sharks - in feet. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
