fuji sk butt question

How does one mount the butt grip on the end of the rod. The bore doesn't go through. Is it as simple as just reaming it out?

That's what I have done on approximately 6 builds. I did shape the edge of the butt and added an SK2 winding check for appearance. No problems.

Yes John, just go slow if you’re using a regular drill bit-one step at a time. When you get close to the right size wrap a piece of sand paper on the end of the last bit you used and sand it open to size. If you need it larger, wrap a piece of masking tape on the bit and sand a little more-repeat by adding more tape as needed.

Thanks for the responses. The solution is almost too obvious.

Yup I'll be reaming it out and putting a winding check on the top to cover.
