I want to build another rod, that has three shades of blue, I really like cobalt blue. What other blue colors would go with cobalt blue? Thanks in advance

Billy over at the Nerbs site to the left has ready made shade color sets at a decent price that may help.

The packs Billy has are Maderia thread. It is mostly used for dec wraps . Some have issues doing guide wraps with it. It contains silicone and requires a CP. Just Sayin.......

I love me some Madeira thread. You can wrap lots of threads before packing. That stuff moves so easy.

The other day I was curtain shopping with the daughter. I noticed the store had a huge display of Maderira. Do they only make one type of thread or do I need to be careful to make sure I am getting what you guys are using? It would be nice to be able to buy locally and see the color first hand.

Does it work okay with any CP? I'm using the Cason solvent based at the moment.

Russ, Madeira puts out a large variety of threads. The most common type used for wrapping is their 40wt Polyneon machine
embroidery thread. Any CP should work fine (I've used Cason's water based and Chromaseal with no problems).

Paul, FishHawk light blue or sky blue would look real nice with cobalt. ProWrap Maui surf.

Craig
