I want to build another rod, that has three shades of blue, I really like cobalt blue. What other blue colors would go with cobalt blue? Thanks in advance Re: thread color help question

The packs Billy has are Maderia thread. It is mostly used for dec wraps . Some have issues doing guide wraps with it. It contains silicone and requires a CP. Just Sayin....... Freddwhy (Rapt-Ryte) Re: thread color help question

I love me some Madeira thread. You can wrap lots of threads before packing. That stuff moves so easy. Re: thread color help question

The other day I was curtain shopping with the daughter. I noticed the store had a huge display of Maderira. Do they only make one type of thread or do I need to be careful to make sure I am getting what you guys are using? It would be nice to be able to buy locally and see the color first hand.
Does it work okay with any CP? I'm using the Cason solvent based at the moment. Russ in Hollywood, FL. Re: thread color help question

Russ, Madeira puts out a large variety of threads. The most common type used for wrapping is their 40wt Polyneon machine
embroidery thread. Any CP should work fine (I've used Cason's water based and Chromaseal with no problems). ~Rich Re: thread color help question

Paul, FishHawk light blue or sky blue would look real nice with cobalt. ProWrap Maui surf.
