If they are they haven't put up a new web site. As of yesterday you still got the old site with the announcement that the assets have been sold. That was from August of 2010. I have ordered thread from vendors in the past week and they still show limited supplies in some colors and no product in others including some of the ones I really wanted. I would be nice to get an official announcement.

They are open and spooling/shipping thread - in limited colors/quantities. Obviously, it will take them awhile to get into "normal" production. Karen @ Bingham received a shipment and has more inbound. She also has quite an extensive selection of vintage Gudebrod thread. Schneider's and a couple other sponsors also had quite a selection in stock. With a few phone calls and e-mails, you will probably find what you are looking for.

No. Gudebrod went out of business. The equipment, inventory, etc. was purchased and the product is in the process of being reestablished.

One has to wonder if the products will be of the same quality. It's the people that make the difference, not the name. Who knows - new people, new ideas, new products - it could be great.
I wish them well.

So far so good. The equipment and technical applications are the same. Best of all ... it is made here in the US.

Jim,

Can you give me the e-mail address and phone no for Karen @Bingham and Schneiders so I can get a hold of some vintage thread.
