If they are they haven't put up a new web site. As of yesterday you still got the old site with the announcement that the assets have been sold. That was from August of 2010. I have ordered thread from vendors in the past week and they still show limited supplies in some colors and no product in others including some of the ones I really wanted. I would be nice to get an official announcement. Bryce Abbott Go & Do Likewise Re: Gudebrod

They are open and spooling/shipping thread - in limited colors/quantities. Obviously, it will take them awhile to get into "normal" production. Karen @ Bingham received a shipment and has more inbound. She also has quite an extensive selection of vintage Gudebrod thread. Schneider's and a couple other sponsors also had quite a selection in stock. With a few phone calls and e-mails, you will probably find what you are looking for. Re: Gudebrod

No. Gudebrod went out of business. The equipment, inventory, etc. was purchased and the product is in the process of being reestablished. Re: Gudebrod

One has to wonder if the products will be of the same quality. It's the people that make the difference, not the name. Who knows - new people, new ideas, new products - it could be great.
I wish them well. Re: Gudebrod

So far so good. The equipment and technical applications are the same. Best of all ... it is made here in the US. Re: Gudebrod
