While Salmon fishing over gravel beds last fall I ran into a guy that was drift fishing using Lindy No Snagg sinkers because he said they did a better job keeping the offering down on the bottom. I bought both 1/2oz and 3/4oz Lindys but there was no instructions which way they go onto the line. Does the "curve" go with the current or does it face the opposite direction? Thanks. Tim,
I use these all the time in Canada walleye fishing. However, I've only used in lakes not rivers. I use them with the curve forward (with the current). I expect if you turn it around, the current will cause it to turn around anyway. Kevin Re: Anyone use Lindy No Snagg sinkers?

Folks here in the upper midwest use them all of the time when they area live bait fishing and working a snaggy area. Clip them on the line and go fishing. Much more resistant to snags than the conventional compact walking sinker.
Good luck Roger Re: Anyone use Lindy No Snagg sinkers?

We use a very snag proof system we build out of parachute cord amd round sinkers in the Pac NW, we call them slinkies. Re: Anyone use Lindy No Snagg sinkers?

For salmon fishing in St. Mary's River in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario I made up a bunch of sinkers using 1, 2, 3 or 4 split shot #7. I put them inside pieces of nylon hollow dress shoe laces. I burn one end, put the shot in, and burn the other end.
I tie in a snap swivel on my leader, and can change out the weight as needed for conditions. Very cheap & very versatile... and fairly snag resistant.
