Hi, I want to build a saltwater rod. I will be using a Penn jigmaster reel model 500. I will be using the rod for Bonita, halibut and yellow tail. I want a rod that will handle 15 to 25 pound test. The length should be 6 to 7 feet. I am looking at the seeker blank or calstar. Any recommendation would be appreciated Thank you Paul

If you want a light and tough rog look at the 8' gator glass I built two of them for my boat.
Went off shore about 2 years ago fishing for sharks, hooked up with a hammerhead about 12' long, man what a fight.
gator glass took it like a champ. going to buy a couple more for sure..
