Cabela's Professinal Rod Finish

I have been using Cabela's Professional Rod Finish for some time now with good results. It seems that they have discontinued selling this product. Is anyone familiar with this 2 part rod finish? I would appreciate any recommendations for use of a similar product that would deliver good results.

Yes, it's called Flex Coat. That's what was in those Cabelas packets.

I too use it. Does anyone know if Flex-coat makes packets. I much prefer this as the mixing ratio is fool proof. In volume they were a $1 a piece.

To my knowledge, Flex Coat doesn't offer the packets. If you are worried about getting the ratio correct, you can pick up
mixing syringes (these come with the 2oz package of FC and are reusable). The syringes make mixing pretty much fool-proof,
and the extra minute or two it takes to load the syringes is well worth the money saved on the packaging cost of the individual
packets.

To add to Rich's ....you can drill a hole in the top of the epoxy and hardener caps to fit the newly purchased syringe tips perfectly, leaving the syringes in the caps of the epoxy and hardener all the time-perfect mixing always!

Joe, you can get Pac Bay Rodsmith finish in the same foil packets as Cabelas - they are 12 to a box. You can find details on page 83 of their catalog:

You can purchase preloaded syringes in a kit. They will work even better than the packets.
