Where would I measure the blank in relation to where the hypalon grip will sit to get the grip's ID?
Thanks Re: Measuring for hypalon grips

Anywhere just above where the top of the grip will be located. The grip ID needs to be a little bit smaller than the OD of the blank. It will stretch by a pretty good margin if you install it correctly. Re: Measuring for hypalon grips

Measure where the top of the grip is going to be 'furthest towardst the tip of the rod' and purchase the ID that is just smaller than that. Don't buy one that is larger even if it is closer than the next size smaller. You want it to be tight the entire length of the grip. Hypalon Stretches a good amount. Have Fun! Tim; A word of caution. The rear grip and fore grip will usually have different inside diameters unless you have a real slow taper or small blank. The usual ID sizes are 11/16" and 1/2" however 3/4" is also available. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
