Looking for suggestion on snapper blank. Client using Penn saltwater spinning reel, fishing in 100 ft of water but may only fish at a depth of about 45 ft. 50 lb test line, usually live bait on a circle hook and a 5 oz. sinker. Needs to cast a short distance on occasion but will mostly be just dropping the bait. Asked for something at least 7 foot to get leverage, but wants something sensitive enough to feel the bite yet enough backbone to handle the weight and the snapper.
Any suggestions? Re: Snapper blank

FWIW I have started looking at musky blanks for times where I need to fish a lot of lead but the fish aren't all that big. Russ in Hollywood, FL. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
