Kardol epoxy glue

I am about out of this and cannot for thr life of me remember where I ordered it from. I know it was from one of the vendors listed on the left but it was awhile ago. I love this stuff and all I can find now is Rod Bond and a few others I have never tried. Iam afraid to change brands I have had such good luck with this. I have used it for several different applications through the years. I called Kardol in Florida and they sent me to a retail boat repair outlet in Florida. I had rather do business with the first vendor I used. Any help or comparisons is appreciated. Thanks

Kardol, the gel type rather than the paste, is certainly a good epoxy product for many rod building chores. Boat dealers and real hardware stores generally carry it.

Rod Bond was formulated specifically for use in fishing rod construction and so it's much more likely going to be the product that rod building component suppliers carry.

I have used Rod Bond and ProKote's brand.. I have not used the fast set version of either one but I do have some Quick Bond on order. I can tell you that both of these products are very good. If you are looking for a non-flowing high strength 2 part epoxy glue, both of those are good products.

Merrick had it. IMO, it's just abotu the same as ROd Bond, although I know it's not the same product.

Kardol...that's a blast from the past! I ordered mine right from Kardol in Florida, that was a number of years ago though. Still have the two big tubs of it, goes unused since Rod Bond.

Merrick is correct, also Fishsticks4U (back before Robert and Ray sold it) carried Kardol as well.

For anyone in the South Florida area there is a product from "Fasco" which is very similiar to Kardol.

Fasco is what I see many use down here. Years back I used Resco and it seems that it became Kardol. I have used West systems. Rod bond works fine too.

Hi Russ
I used to use Resco myself. Now I use the Fasco epoxy glue and also their rod finish.
