I've posted a jpg file of a simple logo that I need to weave on a blank. 3 colors- white, black, garnet. I want to weave it longitudnally on a 1/2 inch diameter blank and in less than 25 threads wide. Can anyone turn it into a left list for me? I also have it as a bmp.

Why not purchase some drafting vellum (I bet you can find some at Grumman), size your jpg to 25 grid lines and create your own left list?

Just an FYI: Your 25 thread pattern will make for a very small weave with very little detail

I agree. The weave will be tiny on that blank.

I have to agree with the previous comments, that weave will be very small. What size thread will you be using in your pattern? To give you an idea, the weave of a Yellowtail perch that I recently posted was made using Madeira (slightly smaller than size A thread) thread. It is 47 threads high and a 100 turns with size D Gudebrod as the background. The length is 1 3/8" long. The diameter of the blank is 3/8". I realize that that is not your question but I am only trying to give you idea on pattern size. Do you have a scanner and printer?

Greg, I posted a pattern that I made from your picture. I could not get enough definition using 25 threads in the pattern so I doubled it to 50. Using size A thread in the pattern with size D as the background should make a nice weave on a 1/2" diameter rod. Print out the pattern and you can make your own left list. The software that I use will not make left lists. I hope that you will be able to use this pattern. It was fun making it.

Do yourself a favor and learn to weave without the left list.

I would highly recommend Jim Upton's book on weaving. It tells you just about everything you need to know about the craft. I bought it and it really helped me a lot.

Greg, check your e-mail. If you try printing from the photo section the picture will be too small. Print a copy of the pattern from your e-mail. And as Kerry said, learn to weave from the pattern, unless of course you don't have a way of making patterns. Ken makes a good point in making a pattern if you don't have the software. You can never know too much so I too suggest Upton's book and a DVD from Doc Ski.

Was going to attempt using D thread but I see the point of how small it is. I'll see if I can adjust something in my setup to make it bigger.

You should getting the program visual weaves from Mudhole. U can scan or create a logo and gives u a left list. I weaved without left list and just purchased this program for the computer it is a great feature if u want a left list, but tend to go back to my old ways.

Kerry Hanson is correct, try weaving without the Left list. I stopped many years ago and it sure simplifies things. Just slide your ruler along the pattern as you go.
