# of threads on the Chevron

On that Chevron wrap, would it look different if I wrapped it one thread at a time, or wrap like 4 or 5 threads at a time? Curious, I am thinking of doing my first Chevron, would liketo know the difference.

I think it would look much tighter and straighter being done one thread at a time.

Its one thread at a time then, I like the tighteer look, even though it would be much quicker doing more threads at a time. Thanks.

I generally 2 at a time, if im in a hurry. Anything for than that is a pain. Doing 2 is still a pain at times.

Anything over 2 and it doesn't look right IMO.

Do it right Lorenzo, one thread at a time.

Tight lines,

John

All the diamonds and chevrons on these wraps were done 4 htreads agt a time [northeastrodbuilders.com] All the backgrounds on all my rods are done 4 threads at a time as well. Difference is the seam where the threads cross over will be straight one thrad at a time if you pack it properly. Bands will result in a jagged seam. One thread at a time is much harder to pack.

Well I guess I will have to try both, one thread, and then the other, I think that Billy has a good suggestion, since he has been doing this a lot longer then I, so I think I will do teh 4 threads at a time. Thanks you all!

I didn't make a suggestion, just stated what I do and what it looks like, as well as the differences between teh 2 methods. YOu have to decide the best way for you, and what you like best. I used to do 1 thread at a time, but it was way too time consuming, much harder to pack, and nobody in real life ever said anythign abotu the seam - only on-line where it was really clear with teh zoomed in photos.

I wrote that wrong then, didn't mean to put any more words in your response to my ?, I just meant I think that you had a quicker and better way, I am thinking about doing 5 or 6 threads , cause I had done that on one of my others, it came out alright. I will just have to get on with wrapping it and see what comes out. Have a good one.
