Future Floor Finish

I was cleaning out my stash and came across this partially used quart bottle of Future Floor Finish.

Memory fails me here, but maybe someone's doesn't.

It is an acrylic, non-yellowing floor finish, that sounds good. What was it used for and why did we stop?

Old Heads; help me here! C2

Charlie,
My wife used to use it all of the time on the kitchen floor.

For standard vinyl flooring, you would first strip the floor, after cleaning it, and then recoat the floor using the floor finish. You could sometime put on a 2nd coat after the first coat wore down a bit - but you would often have to restrip the floor back to prevent excess build up in the corners.

This product wen tby the wayside, with the advant of the NO finish required vinly flooring that is used in virtually all housing today.
But if you still have some of the original flooring left in your house, it is still a good usable product.

Take care
Roger

I think some use to say something about using it as a CP.

Charlie, You and I both know that we used it as a color preserver on thread wraps. Why we stopped using it? Only because the thread color was always a tad darker when it dried. Other then that I had no problems with it. I have a quart on my bench that must be 5 yrs old and its still as clear as water.

Yes, Mike's right. There were a few discussions here in the past about its use as a color preserver.

Three pages of post going back nine years! Yikes been longer than I thought -

These posts discuss the use of the stuff for rodbuilding not kitchen floor techniques.

It's coming back and I do thank you for your assistance. I do the 'No Bling'(Basic Black) thing so I would not need a CP.

I had a major stroke in December and was in rehab until February. I'm doing the home thing now. I do have some trouble on the right side but still can't remember things. Again; thanks.

BTW; I did a search before I posted, but must have done something wrong. It found nada. C2
