discontinued Fuji Spin Guides

A customer recently asked me to recondition a 13'-6" SAGE float rod (custom built by others) which had a broken tip section. A new tip section has been received from SAGE and this fellow wants the broken tip kept as a spare. The problem I am having is that the original tip sectionrod guides are Fuji (YSG ???? ) size 6 SIC ring with gunsmoke frames. I have searched the web everywhere for these guides and have been unable to find size 6...........they all start as size 7 and up. The original builder is no longer available. I have in my own inventory Fuji Hardloy BMYLG's in size 6 which were listed as ultra light guides when purchased back in 2000, but this fellow wishes to have the SIC guides. The rod is a beauty and should be kept as original as possible if only I could locate those SIC guides. The guides are definately Fuji high Y gunsmoke frame in size 6 SIC, so I assume they have been discontinued by Fuji. If anyone has some info or stock of these guides that they would be willing to part with, I would greatly appreciate it. I have spent too many hours searching the web in hopes of finding these guides and feel that I have hit a dead end. They have been very popular guides that I have seen here in Canada on numerous long Float rods and am lost as to why they are no longer obtainable. Any help or info would be much appreciated..............I am in need of 8 guides if they can somehow be found. I am hopeful that this customer won't have to settle for something different to put on such a beautiful rod.

Thanking you in advance for you help,

I suggest you check with Karen @ Bingham. She has quite a bit of discontinued Fuji stock.

Are you sure you have a Y frame guide? It can be confused with the V frame. We have an LVSG6, the Sic Gunsmoke in a V. Have your supplier contact us if you think this will solve your problem.

Jim; Thanks for your reply. The guides on this particular rod are definately Y frame Fuji guides and that is what makes it so confusing, for they match the Fuji Hardloys that I have in stock.............model BMYLG.....Y frame gunsmoke finish in sizes 4.5 to 10 which have also been discontinued by Fuji. The BMYLG Hardloy gunsmoke guides were originally listed as ultralight spinning guides when I purchased them prior to 2000. Through all of this, I can only assume that the YSG6 has also been discontinued, for it is the same frame with a SIC ring. I have searched everywhere possible to locate info about these size 6's and have come up empty. The only alternative so far is to either convince my customer to go with the Hardloy size 6's I have in stock or move up to size 7's in the YSG guides unless someone can help me out with the info I have been searching for.
Thankyou.

I'm up the creek. 7 is the smallest we have.
