Suggestion for Batson - Rod Tubes

I would like to make a suggestion to Batson Enterprises, that perhaps they would like to consider adding a range of rod tubes.
For example the 'Landmark' brand aluminium tubes or the 'Clear Creek' cordura nylon covered PVC tubes. Perhaps Batson could even have them embroided / printed with their own logo. I have so far purchased 3 Batson blanks + components from Utmost Enterprises. I have been dissapointed to find that they could not supply any kind of tube at all. (However they had no problem in supplying all the blanks and components that I've wanted) I am sure that for many people who are spending $100 - $200 on a blank + components, they would also be happy to pay $30-35 for a decent tube to match their rod. Some dealers do offer a range of tubes - Mudhole and Schoff Tackle are a couple that come to mind. But I think that if all the Batson dealers could also offer a range of rod tubes, whether thay are generic or Batson branded ones, I think that they would be quite popular. Dale-Cabelas had any tube and rod sack you could possibly want, or you can make your own with ABS pipe, which is cheap. light and rigid. You can make a tube better than you can buy for $5.

Mudhole sells rod tube ends that are quite nice that fit on the end of PVC pipe. + Re: Suggestion for Batson - Rod Tubes

Landmark tubes are very nice. You can use the pvc tube that Utmost ships in for a cheapo rod tube. It even has end caps.

Im with the guys, I make my own rod tubes for my customers. I would rather my suppliers spend there resources on new products for rod building than to tie it up on an item that can be hand made quite easily. If you like building rods than storage tubes should be real easy for you to make. Jason Kesckes. Aint no fish'n like bass fish'n Re: Suggestion for Batson - Rod Tubes

i think dale has a good point which nobody really addressed (and i don't mean that in an disrespectful way). dale recognizes that there are other independent sources of tubes ( for instance, his mention of landmark and clear creek) but points out that a company which supports independent rod makers offering a full lineup of components and blanks, offers everything one needs to complete a full package but for the tubes. though obviously many are willing to create their own, i have as well in the past, i too have wished that batson offered tubes.
i think dale's post should be taken as a suggestion for batson, nothing more. eric fresno, ca. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
