I want to build a rod that is in a Los Angeles Lakers theme. Im a die hard Lakers fan and hopefully always will be.
Any ideas as far as thread colors, maybe even colored guides (gold or purple or yellow or something), or grips. Just wanted to throw this out there so I could have an idea. OH, and how could I forget what do you all think a good wrap would be to contrast these colors?

Billy did a base ball themed rod see if he can make a script for a wrap with basketballs instead.

I asked Billy the same question before trying this wrap.

It's the Circle wrap from his book. It'd look pretty sweet done as basketballs with the Laker colors wrapped around it. It'd also be easy to do the basketball seams, just clear back decals...one for each seam.

You can make a Laker's rod......but it won't catch any fishes. Now, if you made a Celtic's rod..................LOL.

Seeker Rods Have some "purple" blanks,,,,,,special editions. Some Hercules models. These might work.....

Seeker ran some special edition purple blanks for the Fred Hall Show here in Longbeach California....You can order them though your dealer......Limited supply.....also some brown and dark blue...... factory rods.are red.
