Barkeepers friend mixed with enough water to make a paste to get the color back. and then polish with red rouge on a wheel for a high polish. Re: Clean Penny

I'm not sure that it actually leaves anything behind, but you can always wipe it with some alcohol, rinse and then dry thoroughly to make sure.
