Has anyone had the chance to use th ProWrap Black Nylon thread yet, I am running low on my stock of black an need to refill my supplies so I was wondering what your thoughts were on it.

If you liked Gudebrode you will like Prowrap. They are interchangable but thr Prowrap is more consistent colorwise.

Just to put in my 2cents on Pro Wrap, I had purchased some and when I got ready to wrap, the mettalic thread, (blue), started to curl up everytime I got a good start, and had to rewrap like 3 or 4 times, lost count, finally after like 10 yards or so, it came of the spool just fine. The second time that has happened to me, the other was orange.I will just wait and see how it all turns out, other then that I think it looks just great.

Hank,

I had the same issues as Lorenzo regarding the metalics, but the NCP and nylon were as Peter said and work like a champ.

Tight lines,

John

I had the same issue with the Pac Bay thread spools; they overfilled the spools, thinking a little extra line was a good thing, but using the older style thread carriage with the spools held vertically, the thread would fall off the spool if the tension got loosened or the spool got bumped or something. I stripped off some line to get the spool back lower than the spool lip and it was fine after that.
