Help with trim wrap

I just uploaded 2 pictures to the guide wrap picture page. I am doing a rod with Metalic Black, and Cardenal Red thread. I can't figure out how to get the black trim to look like it is one complete wrap. I either wind up with an overlap, or a blank space. I did both of these wraps, and they were perfect before I started burnishing and packing. The pictures are at: [www.rodbuilding.org] . The second is at: [www.rodbuilding.org] .

Any help with fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mike,
If you go to the top of this window, you will find a "Button" that says Library. If you click on that you will find a series of articles. One is called "NarrowTrim Bands and Inlays by Tom Kirkman. This article provides complete directions with photos showing how to make your trim bands. Have fun,

The trim band might not be tight enough. Those pics are kinda small to see the fine detail...

Mike,
Could you do me a favor and mail be a large picture of your wraps?

hflier@comcast.net

With a larger picture, I may be able to offer a couple of suggestions.

Also, if you could send two or three pictures of the wrap as you are doing it would be helpful as well.

Roger
