I am pleased to announce that Raymond Adams has agreed to work with Cason Custom Rod Finishes to assist with all marketing and customer relations issues. Ray brings to this task many years of experience in our craft, and will be a great asset to our team.

For those of you who are distributors of our products now you can expect for Ray to be contacting you. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our current distributors for their help and support over the past year. In particular, my thanks to the teams at Mud Hole and Fishing Tackle Unlimited. Please visit their websites if you are looking to buy our products at this time.

Thanks Bill!

For my first announcement as a Representative of CCRF I'd like to let everyone know that I will be working to get our website up ASAP.

Also, as it's possible that some customers still ended up receiving the old water based formula C.P. that we recalled, anyone who has purchased our Cason's Water Based Crystal Clear Color Preserver and for what ever reason is unhappy with that product, should return the unused product within the original bottle to CCRF and we will send you a bottle of the new & improved CCRF water based CP product.

Just to be clear, this only applies to our CCRF water based C.P. product and NOT the solvent based C.P. product.

Please return the product to..

Don't forget to include your name and return address!

Thank You,

Raymond Adams

Way to go Ray! Hard to get a job in this economy.

Bill, Ray has built up a lot of good karma. I'm sure it will turn out to be a wise business decision.

Now for a tech question. Please elaborate on when, or why, one would pick the solvent or water based product. I'm sure they both work. There must be a reason you offer both:)

Russell,

The immediate advantage the water based product has over the solvent based product is that it can be shipped by air. Items carrying solvents are supposed go by ground only.

The solvent base formula drys quicker than the other and had much more desirable color retention properties on silk threads.

The color retention issue that the original water based product had on silk thread has however been addressed and corrected which was one of the reasons we recalled it & reissued the new & improved formula.

There are some valid technical differences one builder might prefer one and another builder choosing the other but I have to chat will Bill again so I can make sure and provide an accurate "tech-ie" response.

Ray is there a way to tell if its the old formula by looking at the bottle?

The new product in 4oz size has a large "Improved Formula!" label added 90 degrees behind the front label.

I just discovered the 2oz DO NOT have the "improved" label as they were to big for the bottle.
