Hello All,

I just finished a rod I built as a thank you gift to a good friend. It came out great, and I am sure he will get a lot of value from it. I am an occasional and simple style builder, just for my own purposes and come to this forum every time I have a project. This time around Tom and many others offered good tips on thread color choices and epoxy removal. The folks at Decal Connection were very patient, as I re-ordered the same decal for this rod three times in an (ummmmmm, errrrr, well........) learning experience.

This has proven to be a very helpful, kind and enthusiastic forum for folks like me. I hope the accomplished pros who share their experience and knowledge know their share of the market is safe from me! Another good friend who is an accomplished custom knife maker talks of the number of people from other countries who come to the US physically or electronically to learn special skills and crafts because of our open, reciprocal culture. All the folks on the board deserve credit and thanks for enhancing the sport of fishing for guys like me. I try to support the forum by referring others to it, especially on some other broader type venues like Dan Blanton's board.

Best regards to all!

J.C. Smith
