i'm plan to get swimbait rod building very soon and i will get 2 different action same blank swimbait rod 7'10 or 7'11 med/heavy and heavy action and i will need to know how many guides will be need on both blank cos i'm going to throw about 3/4 oz to 5 oz at most and dont fish that heavinest lures
i was thinking of on med/heavy going to be about 9 to 10 guides and tip and on heavy going to be aboutg 10 to 11 and tip
i was thinking of use split grip gear and a 2 or 3 " egg oval foregrip and will able to use a quautum cabo reel with 25 lb test on med/heavy and 50 lb braid on heavy
will need to know what blank and a guides but think of fuji alcinote or a batson sic but i have tough decison on the what blank to look at ..
what is your advice on to look at blank ?
hope to get many reply from them asap before i can order the stuffs this week..

I would expect that you'll need at least one guide per foot of rod length, plus one, plus a tiptop. If the guides you select are small and light, using an additional one or two (if needed) isn't going to hurt you for that type of fishing.
