I have two rods that the coating is either coming off, chipped or scratched badly. What is the best way to make the rod look new again? Thanks for the information. Re: Rod coating

Scott,
Use the search function and search for "painting a blank", "refinishing a blank", etc. You should find lots of reading! jeremy Re: Rod coating

Also do a search for Lumiseal and/or Permagloss. Thanks, Chad Huderle Huderle Custom Rods Prior Lake, MN Re: Rod coating

Scott,
You could opt to just remove the old finish, lightly sand with 600-800-1000 sandpaper, and leave the rod unpainted. Many higher-end blanks come this way, because paint adds weight. You can add a little sheen with car wax, if you like. George Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
