I have been doing some searching but can't find info onhow to find the right place for my stripping guide. I have guide that is 50% the diameter of the spool but how do I work out where to put it. I would have thought that running a line through the tip from the reel and then sliding the stripper down the blank toward the reel until the line touches the guide. Is this correct or do I go just a little further?
Thanks Tim Re: Stripping guide placement with micro on a spin rod

Read the first article in the library on this site. It tells you how to set up the NGC. Re: Stripping guide placement with micro on a spin rod

The information is in the article mentioned. Generally on a freshwater rod you'll want that guide anywhere from about 19 to 23 inches past the reel spool. That distance may be greater on large and heavier saltwater rods. Also, the height of the guide frame influences where it should go. Check the article and then come back if it doesn't get you set up right.
