So many good names here.
I will definitely second Bob McKamey. He's lived and breathed rodbuilding his whole life, I think. You can't find a more helpful, nice guy in any business than Bob. Re: Rodbuilding "Hall" of Fame

This post makes me seriously think about and consider all the fine rod builders I have become aware of through my near decade of participation in this great hobby. Several I have had the special privilege to meet, watch, question and have ongoing tutoring and help. These personal, hands on practice / hints sessions become the cornerstone of so much of our own evolving style. When I finish a rod and sit back and look at it and I am pleased, I usually need to say a heartfelt thank you to many mentor builders, but especially: Mike Barkley, Randy Putter, Ray Adams, Terry Henson and Tom Kirkman. Thanks to the so many others of you that contribute here and in other forms of rod communication. It is a wonderful community of craftsman. Edited 1 time(s).
