After reading Mike's post on rod builders hall of fame I got to thinking (doesn't happen often). I know that Dale had people that submitted articles and helped with his books: BD Ehler, Bernie Cohen, Jack Justice to name a few. I know that there were others that helped; can any one help name the others? I'm curious and can't think of them off hand any help would be appreciated. Mark Re: Dale Clemens Book?

I know Bud Ettel here in San Diego has some of his weaves in the book that he didn't get credit for and provided other input. Re: Dale Clemens Book?

Dale's books were full of hints and system methods contributed by many builders, who were never given full credit. This also happens in the real world of publication. I am sure you can find this in any article published Good Wraps Bob Re: Dale Clemens Book?

Hey Mark,
In 1978, Dale Clemens published his 2nd book "Advanced Custom Rod Building" into which he placed, as he stated "most of the drawings" which were done by me. I have all three of his books and this one bears my name in the acknowledgements and a handwriten note and thanks on the title page. Just think if he had really LIKED the insurance business, he may never have had the need for a sideline business - then what would we have done!!!!! Between Dale's shop in PA and Gene Bullard's in TX, the two of them pretty much recieved all my extra money at the time. I still have the note book of all the rods I built from 1973 to 1984 with customer names and the details of each design. Hope this helps.
