Just for the heck of it I took a look at the ecowrapper clips just to see how it was used. It pays to check out every thing, and now have a washer that will not move when the spool is turning. Either way. I just made a plastic piece just like the metal one on the machine. Not pretty but works

Clyde has a pretty neat set-up in the Ecowrapper. He'll have them at the Expo in February. Plenty of attachments too.

It has several good ideas on it. But for the same amount of space I have A wrapper - fully adjustable- A lath, A dryer, A thread finisher, A spine finder, if I even did that, an a static guide tester. Bill - willierods.com Re: EcoWrapper, got idea.

Here's my 2 cents, for what it is worth---4 yrs. ago I decided it was finally time for me to build my own rods--I came across the
ecowrapper and started down the path without previous experience-- Twelve ( 12 ) rods later I can without reservation tell anyone I could not be happier with my results as well as the support I received from the owner when I needed questions answered--This unit is easy to understand and operate--additionally, the thread holding system is wonderful--I do not know how you expert rod builders did threading without such a cool device--the ecowrapper gets 5 * * * * * from me Re: EcoWrapper, got idea.

The ECOWRAPPER is top notch hand wrapper on my bench.Gets a 5 STAR from me also.I just about had enough saved for the magnafier and light ,but the transom went bad on my boat.So I found out materials for that is not cheap. Re: EcoWrapper, got idea.

I kept sanding and changing washers. Don't know why I did not think of that before. O well. One of these days I'll make the thing purdy. ?? Bill - willierods.com Re: EcoWrapper, got idea.

A bit off topic. Wondering if anyone here has used BOTH the Sully and Eco wrappers and can do a comparison?
